A Special New Host Could Replace Ryan Seacrest On Wheel Of Fortune
It’s been a year of change at the popular game show “Wheel of Fortune.” Beloved host Pat Sajak officially retired and forced the producers to fill his shoes.
While some fans speculated that his daughter, Maggie Sajak, might step in to fill his role, the producers went another route. They hired workaholic Ryan Seacrest.
Ryan has a lot on his plate without “Wheel,” and according to an insider who spoke to The U.S. Sun, it’s possible that he will not host the show long term. Does that mean Maggie might end filling her father’s shoes after all?
The insider shared that “the whole point of bringing in Ryan Seacrest was to reach more young people.” The problem is that Ryan’s contract has yet to be finalized, which might leave the door open for Maggie.
The insider explained, “Sony loves the ratings and wants to negotiate a much longer contract for Ryan, but right now they have to have contingency plans in place in case Ryan simply decides to move on.”
It sounds like Maggie might be the contingency plan. The insider continued, “Maggie has positioned herself to help out if there’s a hosting vacancy, and the franchise is in her blood and her appreciation for the world of Wheel of Fortune is genuine.”

Maggie currently works for the show as their social media correspondent, and she has proven to be really popular with fans. The insider said, “It’s important to allow Maggie to develop her own voice when it comes to the Wheel fan base, and that makes her incredibly valuable to Sony TV.”
The insider described Maggie as “valuable” saying, “Maggie’s already proven herself to be a super-valuable member of the Wheel family, especially during this time of transition.”
While it’s currently unclear how long Ryan wants to host “Wheel of Fortune,” if he decides to stay on long term, Maggie has other options. She recently became a licensed attorney.
In May 2023, she graduated from Georgetown University Law School in Washington, DC. Then in September 2024, the State Bar of California issued her law license.
