Hoda Teams Up With Joanna Gains For An Exciting New Project

Hoda Kotb, the former Today co-anchor, took to Instagram on Wednesday, Feb. 5, to promote an exciting new project, revealing that it will feature former HGTV star Joanna Gaines.

After 27 years as a cohost on the popular NBC morning news show The Today Show, Hoda Kotb left the show. Her final episode was on January 10, 2025.

When she made the announcement that she was leaving the show back on September 26, 2024, she explained, “I just turned 60, and it was such a monumental moment for me when I turned 60 years old because I started thinking about that decade, like, what does that decade mean? What does it hold? What’s it gonna have for me?” She added, “And I realized that it was time for me to turn the page at 60 and to try something new.”

The former Host is also a proud mother to two daughters, Haley Joy and Hope Catherine, whom she adopted. Haley Joy was born in February 2017, and Hoda announced her adoption later that year, expressing her immense joy at becoming a mother for the first time. Two years later, in April 2019, she adopted her second daughter, Hope Catherine.

Hoda’s new partner, Joanna Gaines is an American designer, entrepreneur, and television personality best known for co-hosting Fixer Upper with her husband, Chip Gaines. Next, the couple launched Magnolia, a home renovation and lifestyle brand. Fixer Upper, which aired on HGTV from 2013 to 2018, showcased her signature farmhouse-chic aesthetic and propelled the Gaineses to fame.

Following the show’s success, Joanna expanded Magnolia into a media empire, launching Magnolia Journal magazine, a furniture line, and the Magnolia Network in partnership with Discovery. She has authored several books, including cookbooks and memoirs, sharing insights on design, business, and family life.

A mother of five, Joanna balances her thriving career with her dedication to family and faith. Her influence extends beyond home design, inspiring millions with her warm, down-to-earth personality and business savvy.
