Recently, J.K. Rowling announced that she was relaxing licenses on her Harry Potter series so that teachers could record themselves reading the books and post the recorded videos for their students to enjoy. This is a great way to keep students entertained during the coronavirus pandemic, but during that announcement, she hinted that there was more good news to come.

Now we know what that good news is – Harry Potter at Home.

Allow us to introduce you to a brand new website, harrypotterathome.com. J.K. Rowling announced the launch of this site via Twitter saying, “Parents, teachers and carers working to keep children amused and interested while we’re on lockdown might need a bit of magic, so I’m delighted to launch http://harrypotterathome.com.”

The site is designed to delight and entertain children who are new to the Harry Potter books as well as anyone who has been a long time fan of the captivating series. Get ready for “special contributions from Bloomsbury and Scholastic, nifty magical craft videos (teach your friends how to draw a Niffler!), fun articles, quizzes, puzzles and plenty more for first-time readers, as well as those already familiar with the wizarding world.”

There’s even more exciting news. In partnership with Audible.com, the Harry Potter book that started it all, “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,” is available to listen to for free, and you can listen to it as many times as you want!
