The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been in the news quite a bit lately, beginning with their decision to take a step back from their royal duties to pursue their own financial independence.

Well, they’re really rolling with the punches here, as they were recently spotted hanging out with a much different crew than the royals are used to: Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez.

The four got together during JPMorgan’s Miami billionaire’s summit in Miami and enjoyed a little double date action at Habitat, a restaurant at the 1Hotel South Beach.

“Harry and Meghan got on really well with Jennifer and Alex, and spent some time chatting with them over dinner,” an unnamed witness told Page Six.

In fact, the four seemed particularly close, as if it wasn’t their first time meeting. “J.Lo was overheard inviting the couple and their baby Archie to her and Alex’s house in Miami to spend time with them and their kids,” the source said.

During their visit, Harry and Meghan stayed with tennis star Serena Williams, so it looks like they were just broadening their horizons for their next trip to Miami!

Additionally, during the summit, Harry gave a speech regarding the time he spent in therapy after his mother, Princess Diana, tragically passed away in a car accident. The speech is allegedly the first paid gig the two have engaged in since their big announcement was made. Reports say they could’ve taken in anywhere from $500,000 to $1 million for the speech.

Between scoring future baby friends with some of the most esteemed celebrities in the world to earning a pretty penny for a speech on a topic Prince Harry has offered several times before, we’d say their road to financial freedom is off to a pretty solid start.
