Hallmark Is Currently Casting Extras For A Christmas Movie

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be in a Hallmark Christmas movie? We know, we know. Christmas just ended, like, a month ago, but that doesn’t mean we can’t dream about next Christmas.

Back to the question. Wouldn’t it be incredible to see what it’s like on the set of a Hallmark Christmas movie? On TV, the movies always look so picturesque. The towns are little and old-fashioned. The decorations are spot on. The snow looks soft, and the actors, well, many of them are pretty well known.

Imagine working side-by-side with one of the Hallmark movie regulars like Lacey Chabert or Candace Cameron Bure. If this sounds like a dream come true, stop dreaming and head over to the Synthetic Cinema website.

Synthetic Cinema is currently looking for background actors (extras) for a Hallmark Christmas movie that they’re filming in Connecticut. No, you don’t need to be a professional actor. No experience at all is necessary.

While the background actor roles don’t include any pay, they do include meals and the once-in-a-lifetime chance to see yourself on TV next Christmas.

The company hasn’t announced what actors will be in the film, but the film’s producer, Andrew Gernhard, has also produced “A Very Nutty Christmas” for Lifetime, and that film starred Melissa Joan Hart. You can be pretty sure this film will include at least a celeb or two.

While no acting experience is necessary, there are a few requirements. You need to be able to provide your own transportation to and from the set. So, if you don’t live in or near Connecticut, you may not want to sign up. You also need to be available for the entire day on the day you’d be on set. There may be certain makeup and wardrobe requirements, but you would be contacted about those if you’re chosen for a role.

Minors are welcome to apply for background roles as long as they have written permission from a parent or guardian, and children younger than high school age would also need to have a parent or guardian on set.

Want to apply with your kids or your whole family? Groups are welcome to apply, but a separate applications needs to be submitted for each person.

It looks like all time slots are currently filled, but if you sign up now, you’ll be notified if there are any openings for this movie or any upcoming movies. All you have to do is answer a few questions and upload a photo of yourself.

Good luck, and see you on TV!
