Gwen Stefani Raises Eyebrows With Her Photoshop Throwback Photo on Twitter
When you commit your life to someone, that means accepting that this person might have had a romantic past before you. It’s not the most fun thing to think about, of course—after all, no one wants to imagine their spouse in bed with another person. However, it’s just a natural part of life.
That said, it’s not uncommon for people to still feel jealous of their current partner’s past relationships—even if it’s well into the past. In fact, celebrities might even fall victim to the green-eyed monster.
However, that doesn’t mean the past didn’t used to exist. Blake was married before he met Gwen—to Kaynette Williams, from 2003 to 2006.
Gwen decided she was going to have a little fun and draw some attention to that relationship. She took an old photo from 2003 that was taken of Blake at the CMA Awards and used Photoshop to put herself in it. She captioned the photo #NewProfilePic and posted it to Twitter.

Some people believe that she added her body over Kaynette’s body, who had attended the event. Some people think Kaynette was never in the photo and Gwen just put herself in there with him.
Either way, Gwen claims she meant what she did in the most lighthearted way—but that doesn’t mean all of her followers were a fan.
“Disrespectful and unnecessary. He had his life before you, no need to be jealous,” one person wrote.
“Sorry, but why? His past made him into the man he is today. History is not there to be erased but to learn from. It also can not be changed,” another responded.
“Wow. That’s a bold move. Is bold the right word?,” someone else said.
While the photo was mostly met with criticism, there were a select few people who empathized with Gwen and could understand why she’d do something like that.
“Maybe she wanted to see what they would have look like together at a younger age. I don’t think she is being mean at all, just having a little fun with Blake being so young,” someone suggested.
What do you think Gwen’s intentions were with this photo? Do you think she was trying to be malicious, or just humorous?
