Here’s a Look at the World’s First-Ever Guitar-Shaped Hotel

We like to travel, and we travel to different places for different reasons. It seems that it can be hard to find everything we’re looking for in a vacation in one spot.

When we think of casinos, we often think of Las Vegas, but many Indian reservations also have casinos which means that if you like to gamble, you don’t necessarily have to go to Las Vegas, Reno or Atlantic City.

When we think of a tropical vacation, we often think of an island with lush landscaping and natural beauty, somewhere like Hawaii, the Bahamas or Bora Bora.

When we think of Florida, we often think of Orlando and theme parks. While we enjoy eating Dole Whip at Walt Disney World and exploring Hogwarts Castle at Universal Orlando, sometimes we’d like a vacation that’s a little bit more grown up.

Now we’ve discovered a resort in Florida that has a casino, restaurants, swimming pools that resemble lagoons, day and night clubs, entertainment, shopping and luxury hotel rooms. Oh yeah, and it’s shaped like a guitar. This is not a dream.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida is being transformed as we write this. It’s currently undergoing $1.5 billion worth of work. That’s quite a bit more than a facelift.

The resort is adding two new hotel towers. One is called the Oasis Tower, and it is 7 stories tall. It has 168 guest rooms and even “swim-up suites” with a view of the property’s private lagoon and swimming pool area.

The other tower is the showstopper that you’ll definitely be able to see from a distance. It’s a 450 foot guitar hotel. It includes 638 guest rooms and suites.

While the hotel rooms and suites are total luxury, the amenities are just as exciting. There are 16 restaurants, and that doesn’t include the bars, lounges, day clubs and nightclubs scattered around the resort.

Then, there’s the casino. It’s bigger and better than ever with about 200 table games and over 3,000 slot machines.

If you’re looking for a tropical getaway without the international flight, you’ll probably find what you’re looking for here too. There’s a 13.5 acre pool plus a private lagoon, and you can enjoy everything from paddle boats to relaxing in the lazy river.

You may not even need to pack your suitcase. You’ll probably find everything you’ll need to vacation in style in the 26,000 square foot retail space featuring boutique stores.

If you’re looking for an excuse to visit, one of the concerts at the new Hard Rock Live venue might draw you in. The venue plans to host about 100 concerts per year, but it could also be the perfect place for everything from theater to awards shows.

Or maybe you’ll visit for business. The convention center includes 120,000 square feet of meeting space.

If all that hard work leaves you feeling tense, be sure to visit the spa which includes wellness and health-focused services plus a fitness center and a salon.

The newly expanded resort is set to open on October 24th, and you can book your room starting on July 24th.
