Girl Scouts of the USA Will Debut a New Cookie This Month

From Samoas to Thin Mints to, Tagalongs to Peanut Butter Patties…there isn’t a Girl Scout cookie we don’t like. In fact, we always have a hard time turning down the little ladies when they ring our doorbells selling the good stuff.

We know we’re not the only ones. The Girl Scouts have long since been known for selling their classic cookie treats and how delicious they are. And now, the scouts are adding a brand new type of cookie is coming into the mix. That’s right, one more Girl Scout cookie will be debuted this month! Mark your calendars accordingly, because it’s not something you’re going to want to miss.

The new cookie, which is called “Adventurefuls,” is essentially a chocolate brownie-like cookie filled with salted caramel goodness. The organization has described it as an “indulgent brownie-inspired cookie with caramel-flavored crème and a hint of sea salt.” Ummm, can we say yum?

“Adventurefuls take cookie lovers on a delicious taste adventure just like Girl Scouts go on their own amazing adventures all year long,” Girl Scouts of the USA wrote in a press release. “Girl Scouts across the United States will offer Adventureful cookies next cookie season alongside favorites like Thin Mints and Samoas/Caramel deLites.”

The Girl Scouts had officially announced the new cookie back in August, so customers who knew of it then have been patiently waiting since then to get their hands on a box (or five).

The official debut date is January 11, 2022, however, inventory and season start dates will vary among the different troops. Be sure to sign up to get digital notifications on GirlScoutCookies.org or contact your local Girl Scout council to get updates on all cookie sales in your town! And if all else fails, cookies can always be purchased from the Girl Scouts website’s Digital Cookie platform.

Traditional Girl Scout Cookie cookies are sold for $5 per package and the gluten-free Toffee-tastics are $6 per package. Girl Scouts of the USA typically sells about 200 million boxes of cookies per season, which comes to nearly $800 million in revenue.

As the Girl Scouts say, “Get ready to taste the adventure.”
