Popular 1980s singer Cyndi Lauper is saying farewell to touring. She has not toured in more than 10 years. Before she says farewell, she will headline concerts across 23 cities in North America from October 18 through December 5, according to reports from Live Nation.

Her hit songs include  “True Colors” and “Girls Just Want To Have Fun.” The tour will start in Montreal, Canada. Some other major stops include New York City and Chicago, Illinois.

 

Special guests will join her along the tour. Tickets will start selling on Tuesday for a presale.The general sale will start this Friday.

The timing lines up, there will be a documentary on Lauper’s life and career. This will air on Paramount + on Tuesday. It will trace her career, show her punkish style, and show the special work she does in the community.  On Wednesday, she will be a special guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

A bit more about Cyndi, Born on June 22, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York. She is 70 years old. Lauper showed an early interest in music and the arts. Before achieving mainstream success, she performed with several cover bands and released an album with the band Blue Angel.

Lauper’s breakthrough came with the release of her first solo album, She’s So Unusual, in 1983. The album included hit singles like “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “Time After Time,” “She Bop,” and “All Through the Night.” Her quirky and colorful music videos became iconic on MTV, helping her become a pop culture sensation.
