Emily Osment has filed for divorce from her husband, Jack Anthony, after just five months of marriage. The Young Sheldon star submitted the paperwork on Friday, March 7, citing irreconcilable differences, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
Osment, who will turn 33 on Monday, March 10, married Anthony on October 12, 2024, following their engagement in June 2023. She listed their separation date as December 7, 2024. The couple, who have no children together, had a prenuptial agreement in place.
“I think with any big decision in your life, whether it’s relationships or work or whatever it may be, you have to firmly plant both feet in that decision,” she told PEOPLE in a statement. “Ultimately, it didn’t work out.”
Osment and Anthony tied the knot in a private ceremony on October 12, 2024, with her older brother, The Sixth Sense star Haley Joel Osment, standing as a groomsman.
While the couple does not have children, they did establish a prenuptial agreement outlining the division of their assets per the New York Post.
According to the filing, the Young Sheldon actress requested the court to “terminate the court’s ability to award support to the petitioner and respondent” in accordance with the agreement, which was signed in September 2024.
Osment and Anthony made their relationship public in October 2021 when the actress shared photos of them attending a Phish concert.
The couple announced their engagement in June 2023 through an Instagram post that has since been deleted. While they largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight, the Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage star occasionally featured Anthony on social media.

Anthony, a musician, attended the University of Virginia, as noted on his LinkedIn profile.
He previously worked at the e-commerce platform Spring (formerly TeeSpring) and served as the head of strategic partnerships at Linktree until July 2024. That same month, he began studying at the Chef Apprentice School of the Arts.
