If you watched the Oprah interview with Meghan and Harry, you know that they make a lot of shocking statements. For example, Meghan revealed that she was suicidal at one point, and Harry revealed that his family has cut him off and at one point his father, Prince Charles, stopped taking his calls.

Those things are shocking, but that’s not all. Both Meghan and Harry described life as senior members of the royal family as being “trapped.” Harry said that he didn’t realize he was trapped until he met Meghan, but now he knows that his father and his brother are trapped too.

This does not make the royal family look good. It completely destroys the fairytale of becoming a princess and living happily ever after as a royal. Meghan even compared herself to Ariel in the “The Little Mermaid” who lost her voice when she fell in love with the prince.

Harry and Meghan say that they are happy now living in Santa Barbara, California, but their interview with Oprah certainly did not make the royal family happy. The couple was careful to portray the Queen and Prince Philip, Harry’s grandparents, in a good light, but Prince Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton didn’t look so good after the interview.
