Delightfully Easy Dark Chocolate Chunk Cheesecake

There’s something about cheesecake that makes it the perfect spring dessert: light and creamy enough to make a wonderful change from heavier winter treats, but filling enough to satisfy after just one slice. This Dark Chocolate Chunk version from eBay’s Love From the Oven is sure to become a favorite of anybody looking to bring their kitchen out of hibernation and into the sunshine.

You’ll Need:

– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup sugar
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 2 eggs
– 5 tablespoons butter, melted
– 5 ounces cream cheese, softened
– 2 cups powdered sugar
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
– 1 bag DOVE Dark Chocolate Promises (or your favorite chocolate chips or candies)

To Make:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.
  3. Add in the melted butter and stir to combine.
  4. Add in one of the eggs and stir to combine well.
  5. Press the mixture into an 8-inch by 8-inch baking pan and set aside.
  6. Place 24 of the DOVE Dark Chocolate Promises into the pan on top of the cake mixture, in 4 rows of 6.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, the remaining egg, vanilla and powdered sugar. Stir until well combined.
  8. Pour this cream cheese mixture over the top of the cake mixture and DOVE Dark Chocolate Promises. Spread gently with a spatula to cover completely and evenly.
  9. Chop up the remaining DOVE Dark Chocolate Promises and sprinkle over the top of the cream cheese layer.
  10. Bake for approximately 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack.
