Florida Couple Has Been Arrested in Hawaii For Traveling With Fake Covid Vaccination Cards

It used to be that if you wanted to travel to Hawaii from the mainland, all you had to do was make travel plans such as booking a flight and finding a hotel room. Now, with Covid-19 among us, travel is slightly more complicated.

In order to travel to Hawaii, you either need to have proof that you have been fully vaccinated, or you need to get a Covid test within 72 hours of your flight departing for Hawaii. Hawaii is calling this their “Safe Travels” program, and it is required for both visitors and residents. Anyone who fails to get tested for Covid before traveling and does not have proof of being vaccinated will be required to quarantine for 10 days.

Recently, a father and son were arrested in Hawaii with fake Covid vaccine cards. If the father and son didn’t want to get vaccinated, they could have just gotten tested for Covid before traveling instead of doing something illegal to try to avoid quarantine. Using fake Covid vaccine cards is a crime.

Instead of learning from the mistakes of others, more people have also gotten arrested in Hawaii for trying to use fake Covid vaccine cards. This time it’s a family. A mom and dad were arrested for using fake Covid-19 vaccine cards. They even had fake Covid vaccine cards for their children who weren’t even old enough to get the vaccine. Watch the video below for more details.

The couple and their children flew from Miami, Florida to Honolulu, Hawaii on August 11th. We assume it’s safe to say that their family vacation did not go as planned.

It is illegal to buy or sell a fake vaccine card. Anyone who has a fake vaccine card in their possession could be fined $5000 and face up to a year in prison.

Why do you think people are trying to use fake Covid vaccine cards instead of getting the vaccine or getting tested for Covid? Why do you think this couple that was arrested thought it was a good idea to get fake vaccine cards for their children who weren’t even old enough to get vaccinated?
