Country music singer, Mark Chesnutt, is hospitalized, and in recovery. He has been rushed to emergency quadruple bypass surgery.

Over the weekend his team shared a post to Instagram, saying that the country star experienced a heart issue. This led to an emergency quadruple bypass surgery. As a result, he will need time to recover and will have to cancel some of his upcoming concerts.

The country star was scheduled to perform in Lake Charles, Louisiana on June 21 and then head to Texas. His schedule was to do a U.S. tour through the summer. Now, these dates are going to have to be rescheduled.

Previously, Chessnutt revealed he was suffering from  health issues on Instagram in November of 2023. He had been hospitalized in November and undergone medical testing.

Mark Chesnutt is a notable American country music singer and songwriter known for his traditional country sound and honky-tonk style. He is 60 years old.

Chesnutt’s breakthrough came in the early 1990s with many successful albums and singles. His debut album, Too Cold at Home (1990), produced five hit singles, including the title track and “Brother Jukebox,” both of which reached the top of the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.

Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Chesnutt released several more albums and continued to produce hit songs such as “It Sure Is Monday,” “Gonna Get a Life,” and “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.” He has maintained a loyal fan base for many years.
