Can it look like flirting without actually being flirting? That is the big question. One TikToker captured video of country star Miranda Lambert’s husband, Brendan McLoughlin, dancing and getting close with several women at Lambert’s Nashville club, Casa Rosa.

To the eyes of the TikToker and multiple people who viewed the video, it looks like McLoughlin is getting too close to these women and acting quite flirtatious. Text over the video reads, “Miranda Lambert, come get your man.”

You can see the video of McLoughlin’s supposedly flirtatious interaction below.

But maybe it wasn’t flirtatious? One of the women in the video claims that it was all completely innocent. The blond woman in the video spoke to In Touch about the video and claims it was “innocent.”

The woman, who chose to remain anonymous, explained, “Earlier in the night, we noticed him in the roped-off section at the front of the bar. We recognized him, and we all thought it was cool that he was there, and mentioned hoping for a Miranda appearance.” She added, “We went back to enjoying our night, drinking and dancing with each other and just having a good time.”

The woman explained that her group was near the roped-off section when they decided to ask McLoughlin “if he would take a picture with the bride-to-be.” He agreed to take the picture and later, they ended up dancing together.

She continued, “We were all dancing together and laughing and talking, thanking him for helping to make our bride-to-be’s night so special and fun. He was gracious and polite and kind. He did a lot of laughing at us, because we are a silly bunch and were having a good time just dancing and being goofy together.”

According to the woman, “He was not flirty.” She added, “Truly, none of us ever felt that there was any flirting happening. It was just dancing, laughing, and talking. He was friendly and casual, but never inappropriate or suggestive in any way.”

Yet the woman does take responsibility for one action that she realizes may have looked flirtatious “to the outside world.” She explained, “I’m not sure why I put my hands on his face — I just have a tendency to do that at times without even realizing.” She added, “It’s a silly, unconscious habit that I have, and I am responsible for how that may have appeared to the outside world. I never intended it suggestively, probably more ‘motherly,’ as that’s who I am, but that isn’t something that should reflect badly on him at all.”
