Country Star Rips Her Britches In The Middle Of Concert

Country star Lainey Wilson has proven that she can handle herself with grace and humor in any situation, even a major wardrobe malfunction that happens in the middle of a concert.

Wilson was performing at the Faster Horses Festival in Brooklynn, Michigan on July 20, 2024, when her team alerted her to the fact that she’d ripped her trademark clothing item, her bell bottom jeans, wide open on the seams.

Wilson was quickly rushed off stage where she slipped into a different pair of bell bottom jeans and joked about how hard that was to do. She quipped, “I tell you what, trying to put on some jeans when you’re sweating, it ain’t fun. You gotta jump in them things.”

She also joked about the situation as a whole. She said, “Y’all almost got, like, a real show. A real show.” She added, “There’s a first show for everything, and I’m glad it was y’all I split my pants wide open in front of.”

After the show, Wilson kept joking on social media. On TikTok, she shared a video where she was squatting and dancing in her bell bottom jeans along with text over the screen where she explained, “Adding this into my routine before a show so my britches don’t rip like they did last night at Faster Horses.”

After watching the video, multiple fans encouraged Wilson to start her own clothing line. One fan wrote, “Girly! You need to come out with your own line of bell bottom jeans! I would buy every pair!!!”

Another fan added, “We need a Lainey Wilson clothing line.”

Taste of Country shares that this is not the first time that Wilson has showed her good sense of humor in a less than ideal situation. Previously, a video of the country star that was taken entirely from behind her got a lot of attention.

Wilson shared, “I can’t even scroll TikTok on my For You page without seeing my fat butt on everything.” Instead of being offended or frustrated by the situation, she stayed positive and welcoming. Wilson said, “Whatever brings the people in! But I’m just letting y’all know, go check out my record Bell Bottom Country. Happy to have you either way. However you found me, I’m happy. Happy you’re here.”
