Reese’s Announces Ultimate Chocolate-Free Peanut Butter Cups That Are All Peanut Butter
The thing is, if you try to make peanut butter cups from scratch, they never quite come out the same as a Reese’s, do they? There’s something about that peanut butter inside that’s truly iconic. It’s not like you can just shove some peanut butter inside a chocolate shell and call it a Reese’s. There’s something magical about the center, fair and square.
We know we’re not the only people who feel this way. There are plenty others who can’t get enough of that peanut butter yumminess. And Reese’s knows it too. That’s why the company is launching a special-edition peanut butter cup—made with ONLY the peanut butter center.
That’s right, they’re doing away with the chocolate so that the mouthful you get is purely peanut butter and peanut butter only.

A peanut butter center with a peanut butter shell? Sounds like heaven on Earth, if we’re being honest.
Don’t get us wrong. The combination of chocolate and peanut butter, like its original counterpart contains, is truly exquisite. But don’t fret—Reese’s isn’t getting rid of their traditional peanut butter cup altogether; they’re simply introducing this new one as a special limited-time offer for people who can’t get enough of that peanut buttery center goodness. And we’re here for it.
The new limited-time cup is appropriately called the “Ultimate Peanut Butter Lovers Cups,” and will be released in all of standard, king size and miniatures size nationwide in early April. (Yes, just in time to fill your Easter basket with ‘em!).
“Stuffed with the same beloved, Reese’s peanut butter inside and a 100% peanut butter candy-flavored shell on the outside, you’ve never seen a Reese’s Cup like this before,” the company stated.
No, we haven’t, and yes, we’d like to!
What do you think of this new Ultimate Peanut Butter Lovers Cup? Will you be stocking up the second they hit shelves before they sell out or do you think you’ll prefer the traditional version? What’s your favorite type of Reese’s peanut butter cup to enjoy?
