CEO And 16-Year-Old Daughter Killed In Bulldozer Accident

The CEO Of Lifetime Products and his 16-year-old daughter have died in a car crash. A bulldozer fell off of a tow truck, and onto the SUV carrying the CEO and his family.

Richard David Hendrickson, CEO and president of an outdoor furniture company and his daughter died in an accident that occurred at Ogden Canyon in Utah on July 6 at about 12:49 p.m. There was a tow truck with a bulldozer traveling in the opposite direction of Hendrickson, 57. The CEO and his family were headed up the canyon around a curve. Then, the bulldozer fell off onto the Hendrickson’s GMC that was towing a boat.

 

Henrickson and Sally were immediately pronounced dead while two adults sustained non-life-threatening injuries. According to Lifetime Products, Hendrickson’s wife and two of their other children were also in the car during the accident. It was his other two children who had non-life threatening injuries. There is another daughter who is currently away overseas, and was not in the vehicle.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox posted his sorrows on X. He said:

Richard was a friend and incredible leader. We are heartbroken by his tragic passing with his daughter Sally. We  mourn with the surviving members of his family and pray they will find comfort and healing.

The founder of Lifetime Products, Barry Mower posted a statement “Richard started as a welder and progressed through multiple levels of the company to become President and CEO due to his extraordinary talents and abilities. He was one of my most trusted and cherished friends and will be sorely missed. Lifetime will not be the same without him. My love and heartfelt sympathy go out to his dear family.”

 

Also, Richard was an active leader within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a Stake President in the Ogden Utah Pleasant Valley Stake.
