The Entire Cast of ‘Harry Potter’ Will Reunite for a New Year’s Day Special to Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Films

Harry Potter fans, rejoice! The reunion rumors have been confirmed to be true—Harry, Ron, Hermoine, and the entire cast of the series is coming back for the first time since Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 came out in 2011! Yes, it’s been an entire decade since we witnessed the magic of everyone together, and we’re about to see it once more.

Okay, so what do we know? Not a lot, not a little! Enough to make us very excited.

First off, don’t make plans for New Year’s Day, since that’s when the reunion, appropriately titled “Harry Potter’s 20th Reunion: Return to Hogwarts,” will be streaming on HBO Max. The film will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the first film’s release.

Also, it really is going to be the ENTIRE cast to appear in the reunion. Expect to see everyone including Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James and Oliver Phelps, Wark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, Chris Columbus, and more!

If you’re a true fan, you’ve probably already seen the teaser (since nearly every cast member has posted it by now), but it’s so awesome that we have to show you again. Check out the amazingness below!

Emma Watson proably had the best Instagram post about the new reunion, sharing a throwback photo of Hermoine, Harry and Ron as little babies from the very early beginning of the Harry Potter days. Her caption is tear-jerking!

“Harry Potter was my home, my family, my world and Hermione (still is) my favorite fictional character of all time. I think a journalist once said it was irritating how many times during an interview I mentioned how lucky I was and started counting… BUT I DAMN WELL KNEW!!! And still know,” she wrote.

“I am proud not just of what we as group contributed as actors to the franchise but also as the children that became young adults that walked that path,” she continued. “I look at my fellow cast members now and I am just so proud of who everyone has become as people. I am proud we were kind to each other that we supported one another and that we held up something meaningful.”

Are you a Harry Potter fan? Will you be watching the reunion on New Year’s Day?
