Build-A-Bear Set to Debut a Baby Yoda Stuffed Animal

It may be called “Build-A-Bear,” but the workshop is hardly just about bears. For more than 20 years, Build-A-Bear has allowed kids and adults alike to come in and build their own stuffed animal or another character. The process includes everything from stuffing the bear to picking clothes to even creating its own birth certificate.

Build-A-Bear sells bears, of course, but there are also lions, pandas, and even sloths. And now, the company is rolling out one more adorable character to choose from: Baby Yoda.

Baby Yoda, aka The Child, has recently been made popular by “The Mandalorian,” a new TV series, and the first live-action series in the Star Wars franchise. It’s bound to be one of the most popular characters Build a Bear goers will choose once rolled out, which should be by March.

“I’m excited to share we will be one of the first companies to provide the digital and internet phenomenon who is trending higher than all the presidential candidates combined,“ said Build-A-Bear CEO Sharon Price John. To get Baby Yoda into workshops so quickly, Build-A-Bear had begun working with Disney and Lucasfilms since the first episode of “The Mandalorian” debuted in November.

Though it’ll still be a few months until you can build your own Baby Yoda, the plush alien is available for pre-order for $24.99.

If you’re not a Mandalorian fan and have somehow not come into contact with any of the Baby Yoda memes that parole the Internet, Baby Yoda isn’t actually Yoda, but another being of the same species (the show takes place after Yoda’s death).
