It’s Actually Possible to Make a Giant Gooey Brownie in Your Slow Cooker

Sure, it might be the start of the new year, but resolutions don’t always have to include eating healthier, right? How about being happier? And brownies make people happy, right? Therefore, let us share with you the ultimate ooey, gooey brownie recipe.

Brownies are the ultimate dessert, aren’t they? They’re chocolatey. They’re moist…yet sometimes crunchy if you’re lucky to get an edge. They’re rich…yet simple. They’re versatile but classic at the same time. They’re a whole lot of yum.

What makes this particular brownie recipe by Delish unique is that you can set it and forget it—that’s right: you can make it right in your slow cooker! What could be easier?

We’ve made brownies a bunch of different ways—adding chocolate chips or sprinkles, making blondies, forgoing flour, or adding peanut butter, you name it. But they’re typically cooked in an oven.

This recipe may involve the same types of ingredients, but you can save time by dumping it all in the slow cooker and letting it meld together as you go about your day and finish other tasks. You can even leave the house to run some errands and by the time you get back, your whole home will smell like a bakery.

All you need for this delicious brownie recipe are the following ingredients: butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, eggs, vanilla extract, salt, chocolate chips, and then some vanilla ice cream and strawberries to top it off.

To prep your slow cooker, you’ll just need to line two strips of parchment paper and spray it with some cooking spray. In a separate bowl, combine the butter, both sugars, cocoa powder, flour, eggs, vanilla, and salt until you’ve got a smooth batter. Fold in those chocolate chips and it’s ready for the slow cooker—easy peasy!

Once the batter is in the slow cooker, cook the brownie on low for five hours, or until the edges are set and the center is a bit gooey.

When it’s done, you can simply lift the brownie from the slow cooker with the parchment paper. Before letting it cool, top it with that ice cream and some strawberries, and you’ve got the ultimate dessert: One giant brownie.

We’re drooling just thinking about it and can’t wait to try it! For the official recipe, head to Delish, or check out this step-by-step video below!
