Brittany Mahomes, wife of NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes, recently took to Instagram to share a health update with her followers, revealing that she is currently healing from a back injury. The 28-year-old former soccer player, and mother to Sterling, 3, and Patrick “Bronze,” 15 months, provided a reminder (and a warning) for women who have undergone childbirth.
In a selfie posted on her Instagram Stories on March 6, Brittany issued a crucial reminder, saying, “Just your daily reminder: Once you have kids, please take care of your pelvic floor. Seriously.” She added a personal touch to the message, stating, “From: A girl with a fractured back.” Pelvic floor complications are known to be associated with childbirth and can manifest as lower back pain, loss of bladder control, and various other symptoms, according to information from the University of Utah Health. While Brittany did not disclose the specific details of what led to her back injury, her message emphasizes the importance of postpartum care for women.
Despite the challenges, Brittany maintained a positive tone in her health update. Alongside a heartwarming photo of her daughter Sterling holding hands with Patrick Mahomes, she wrote, “But vacaying with my homies will maybe make it better?” It seems that the supportive presence of her family is playing a significant role in her recovery process.
Brittany is no stranger to the public eye, often seen cheering on her husband at Kansas City Chiefs games. The couple, who tied the knot in 2022, has become a symbol of love and support, especially after Patrick’s team secured a Super Bowl win on February 11. Patrick Mahomes expressed his gratitude for his family, stating, “Brittany is a great wife with two great kids. I can’t ask for anything better than this.”
Brittany encourages women to embrace self-love, confidence, and authenticity. “I want women to feel empowered to always be yourself, love yourself and feel confident in whatever you do,” she expressed, promoting a message of empowerment and self-acceptance.
