Arnold Schwarzenegger Doesn’t Mince Words While Addressing People Who Choose to Be Unvaccinated

While many people have already been vaccinated for Covid-19, some people are still hesitant to get the vaccine. Sometimes, unfortunately, that leads to unvaccinated people ending up hospitalized and wishing they had gotten vaccinated before it was too late.

Hearing about vaccine hesitant friends getting Covid-19 has motivated some to get the vaccine. Yet others still refuse to get vaccinated or even wear a face mask.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, the actor and former governor of California, believes that freedom does not mean choosing not to wear a face mask or get vaccinated. In order to encourage others to get vaccinated, Schwarzenegger got his vaccine on camera. He has also been quite outspoken about his views about how to eliminate Covid-19.

In a CNN interview, Schwarzenegger was very clear that he believes vaccination and masking is important. He said, “People like this, he said, can’t just say: ‘Well, my freedom is being kind of disturbed here. No, screw your freedom. Because with freedom comes obligations and responsibilities. You cannot just say, ‘I have the right to do x, y, and z,’ when you affect other people. That is when it gets serious.”

Schwarzenegger encourages everyone to put aside their differences and “come together” to stop the virus. He said, “Yeah, you have the freedom to wear no mask, but you know something, you’re a schmuck for not wearing a mask.” He added, “Let’s work together and let’s stop fighting because there is a virus.”

Do you agree with Schwarzenegger that it’s important to put aside differences for the sake of beating the virus? Do you agree with him that “freedom” doesn’t mean that you should choose not to wear a mask and choose not to get vaccinated?
