Anne Heche Police Investigation Upgraded
The Los Angeles Police Department has been investigating Anne Heche for misdemeanor DUI and potential hit and run. TMZ has learned from sources that the investigation has changed to a felony DUI upgraded from a misdemeanor hit and run.
Sources at the LAPD told TMZ that the investigation was upgraded after Lynn Mishele, whose house Anne Heche’s car crashed into and subsequently set a blaze as the result of the crash, said she suffered cuts and required medical treatment.
Mishele reported that she lost nearly all of her belongings in the ensuing blaze and barely escaped more seiours injury. Her friend setup a GoFundMe page and included this statement:
Lynne and her family very narrowly escaped physical harm, and for that we are very, very grateful. The home, however, was completely burned – with 59 firefighters taking 65 minutes to extinguish the flames – and immediately red-tagged by the LAFD, necessitating that Lynne leave the place she loves. Even more distressing is that Lynne lost her entire lifetime of possessions, mementos, all equipment for her business including her laptop and iPad, all of her clothing and basic necessities, and all household items. With firefighters’ help, she was able to pull a few damaged sentimental belongings from the wreckage. Everything else is gone.
A blood draw form Heche was taken by investigators at the hospital. Results have not been reported.
Heche was reported to be at Glass Hair Design in Venice CA a few hours before the crash. The proprietor Richard Glass told the LA Times that Heche “wasn’t speaking cursive” while in the Salon. “Speaking cursive” is slang for slurring words or sounding drunk.
Inside Edition caught up with Ellen Degeneres and asked if she had words for Heche a previous girlfriend of Degeneres.
As of last update Heche is still in a coma under mechanical ventilation.
