Prince Andrew Pledges to Be an Ambassador for Victims and to “Fight Against the Evils of Sex Trafficking”

Prince Andrew will not be going to court. He settled the civil case brought against him by accuser Virginia Giuffre out of court. As part of the settlement, he will be donating an undisclosed amount to her charity. He has also promised to fight against sex trafficking.

Giuffre, who is now 38 years old, claims that she was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and forced to have sex with Prince Andrew when she was underage. She also claims that Andrew knew she was one of Epstein’s victims and knew that she was underage.

Andrew has claimed innocence, but in a joint statement between Andrew and Giuffre, Andrew admitted, “regret” for associating with Epstein. The statement also explained that Andrew “pledges to demonstrate his regret for his association with Epstein by supporting the fight against the evils of sex trafficking, and by supporting its victims.”

Watch the video below for more about this case against Prince Andrew and the out of court settlement.

What will Prince Andrew do to fight against sex trafficking besides donating to Giuffre’s charity? That is yet to be determined, but the donation to Giuffre’s charity is a good start.

Giuffre’s charity is know as Soar, which stands for Speak Out, Act, Reclaim. The charity, which was founded in 2015, was originally called Victims Refuse Silence, but the name changed last year.

Soar’s mission is to empower “survivors to reclaim their stories and bring an end to sex trafficking.” Giuffre founded the charity “for victims everywhere. I am no longer the young and vulnerable girl who could be bullied. I am now a survivor, and nobody can ever take that away from me.”

How do you think Prince Andrew will accomplish his goal to “fight against the evils of sex trafficking”? Do you think he will get involved with Giuffre’s charity as more than a donor? How much do you think he agreed to donate as part of the settlement?
