Alex Trebek’s Closest Friends Reflect On Their Final Conversations Before His Death
Trebek died on November 8, 2020, at the age of 80. He was at home and surrounded by his family.
He continued to host “Jeopardy” until the end; although, Ken Jennings was recently added to the show. Jennings would make a natural replacement for Trebek; although, the show has had to officially announce who Trebek’s replacement will be.
Trebek’s last day filming “Jeopardy” was October 29th. The episodes he already filmed will be aired through December 25th.
Many people close to Trebek have expressed what a wonderful man he was and how they were lucky that he was a part of their lives. According to TMZ, Mike Richards, the executive producer of “Jeopardy,” said, “Working beside him for the past year and a half as he heroically continued to host “Jeopardy!” was an incredible honor. His belief in the importance of the show and his willingness to push himself to perform at the highest level was the most inspiring demonstration of courage I have ever seen.”
