Alec Baldwin Takes To Social Media With Cryptic Message After Matt Hutchins Interview

Back in October 2021, Alec Baldwin was holding a gun on a movie set. He claims that he didn’t know live ammunition was in the gun and that he was simply following the cinematographer’s directions as they rehearsed for the upcoming scene.

The cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, was killed during that rehearsal. A bullet left the gun and hit her while she was standing behind the camera.

Months have passed, and the investigation in New Mexico, where the movie was being filmed, is still underway. It has not yet been determined if criminal charges will be pressed against anyone involved in the making of the movie, including Baldwin.

Baldwin claims innocence. In an interview with George Stephanopoulos, he claimed that he didn’t even pull the trigger and doesn’t know how the gun went off.

Meanwhile, Hutchins’ family mourns her tragic and untimely death. She leaves behind a husband and young son.

Matt Hutchins, Halyna Hutchins widower, is suing Baldwin and others involved in the making of the movie “Rust.” In a recent interview with Hoda Kotb, Hutchins explained that it’s pretty clear to him that the person holding the gun is responsible for his wife’s death; however, he added, “But gun safety was not the only problem on that set. There were a number of industry standards that were not practiced and there’s multiple responsible parties.”

Baldwin has responded to Hutchins’ comments via a pretty cryptic tweet. Baldwin wrote, “In Buddhism, being truthful goes beyond simply not telling lies. It means speaking truthfully and honestly, yes. But it also means using speech to benefit others, and not to use it to benefit only ourselves.”

Do you think Baldwin should be held responsible for Halyna Hutchins’ death? If not, who do you think is responsible?
