After months and months, fans were finally able to glimpse Adele somewhere besides social media. The star hosted Saturday Night Live on October 24, and she actually turned her weight loss into a light-hearted joke.
“I know I look really, really different since you last saw me, but actually because of all the COVID restrictions and the travel bans, I had to travel light and I could only bring half of me, and this is the half I chose.”

Some fans are loving Adele’s new look so much that they have decided to follow in her footsteps. Adele has used the Sirtfood Diet to drop the pounds, and some fans have thought that if she can do it, so can I.
People on the Sirtfood Diet focus on eating foods that contain a protein called sirtuin. These foods include blueberries, buckwheat, olive oil and kale. It’s not just about eating kale chips though. Dieters can also enjoy dark chocolate and red wine while they lose weight!
Adele fan Becky Beach has dropped 30 pounds so far on the Sirtfood Diet. She started the diet in December 2019, and besides the weight loss, she has also noticed improvement in her sleep.
Stephanie Alba was also inspired by Adele’s weight loss. She could identify with Adele’s body type and she loved that the singer was losing weight to be healthy not to make other people happy. She has lost 21 pounds on the diet in just 3 months.
Although Adele and her fans are seeing success with the Sirtfood Diet, not everyone thinks it’s a healthy way to lose weight. The controversial part of the diet is that dieters need to restrict their calories to only 1000 calories per day for the first 3 days and then only 1500 calories per day for the next 4 days. That’s a week of pretty extreme dieting, but after that, dieters can eat as much as they want as long as the foods are sirtuin foods.
Registered dietician Sheri Vettel warns that “Severe calorie restriction can be dangerous for some folks, including diabetics, who may have blood sugar fluctuations. This plan isn’t for everyone.” It’s probably a good idea to talk to your doctor before starting a new diet like the Sirtfood Diet.
