Actor James Hollcroft has died. He was reported missing on September 3 and his body was located on September 6, close to his home in Mexico City, Mexico. He was 26.
The actor was last seen on September 3 and his loved ones were concerned when they were not able to find or contact him.
James starred in the television series called “Como Dice El Dicho” (As The Saying Goes) and attended the Artistic Education Center, an acting school run by Televisa located near James home. The actor lived in the Tizapán neighborhood.
The Artistic Education Center confirmed James’ death on Facebook with a tribute post.
“Thank you for all those good times we spent together during your acting training,’ the school posted. “We will carry you in our memories and in our hearts, you will always be part of our CEA family, farewell dear James Hollcroft.”
The local authorities nor the actor’s family have not released any further details about his death.
His sister, Jane Hollcroft, posted a series of pictures of her brother to Instagram. She wrote (translated from Spanish):
“I will love you forever, thank you for the years we shared together and for giving me the most magnificent moments I could have ever experienced. You will always be in our hearts, little brother.”
James Hollcroft appeared in multiple episodes of the Televisa drama Como dice el dicho (As the Saying Goes), a show inspired by real-life events. He also played a role in the 11th season of the stage production Dime que sí (Tell Me Yes), which is now in its 16th season at Teatro en Breve.
